You're so Tweet!!!!

Hey guys,
Writing after a long long time!! and it sure feels good to be doing some crafting again :) As you all know by now that I have changed my blog's name to "For the love of paper" coz thats what I love so much, hoarding it and not using my fav pps, embellishments etc. etc. My home has been under renovation since January and all my fav stuff has been packed since, cardstock, pps, stamps, inks et al. So I couldn't do any crafting even if Iwanted to. Besides this, I also think my mojo was missing somewhere hence stayed away from crafting for this long a time.
In the last post I also mentioned that my bro's marriage was scheduled and that I was to make all the wedding invites. And I did made all the wedding invites myself, yayyyyyy!!!!! actually me and my little sissie did it. The marriage was awesome except for a few hiccups! We enjoyed a lot and danced a lot too !! And now that almost everything is over (I said almost coz my home is still under renovation, dah! ) I'm back with a card. Here goes the cutie (I find it totally cute!!)
I made this for the BGC#12 Challenge Ombre, please check it out here. I have been wanting to do a card with a birdie for a long time now. I was so so inspired by ET's card. Totally loved the birdies on her card. I think I love the way this card turned out, and would be making some more Ombre themed cards with some other interesting palettes. Coming back to the card all elements on it are hand-cut, the birdies, tree branch, and grass landscape. I used 4 shades green for landscape using the distress inks in peeled paint & forest moss and dew drops in pearl tart dye ink and key lime chalk ink. I'm so totally in love with both these brands. I then embossed it with silver. For the sky I used Pearlescent Sky Blue. The clouds were cut by hand and then stuck with the post-its on the paper to make the skyline. The birdies are also hand drawn and cut. I used memento markers to color them, stuck up a little rhinestone on their wing to pep them. Don't they look cute!
For the base I have used the kraft cardstock which is from a local stationary store and then watercolor paper by Fabriano in creamy white. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making it.

The Namesake!!

I took a long long break from blog world and after coming back is going away again for two months. In the meanwhile I just wanted to change the name of the blog so I just decided to do that before I go back to two month's hibernation. These two months are going to be more busy than the last few as my brother's marriage is around and I'm doing the wedding invites :) That's what will keep me away.

I wanted to change the name because somehow I felt Crazee Daizy didn't quite described what I did (although it did tell the world that I'm crazy!) I think For the love of paper characterizes me much better, hence the name. I'm gonna redo all of the blog in the coming two months (as and when I get time!) plus I'll also keep posting about all the things I made during these two months and yaah not to forget, posting about my stash. I've been thinking about this for such a long time. So keeping watching and enjoying my work!!!!

Valentine Candy

THIS IS A STICKY POST.

Hey girlies,

A big hi and a very very happy new to all my bloggy friends. I have been MIA for quite some time now (in fact almost 2 months). My work and other things kept me away from posting although I did create cards every now and then. My craft store also kept me on toes, I'm in the process of planning something important for it. I have added a lot new products, check them out yourself.

And now about the candy. As we all know that the month of February is celebrated for love so I'm offering some love goodies. The candy is a secret, and I will post a sneak peak into it a week later. To win this candy you just have to:
1. Become a follower of my blog and my craft store.
2. like my facebook page.
3. Pleas leave a comment here (so that I know who all visited the blog).
4. Since there's no pic of candy to put up, blog about it.

I'll draw a winner on 8 February so that the candy reaches the winner well before 14 February :)
A teaser of the candy :)

You light up my world like nobody else !!

Hey dearies,

I'm back with another card :) This is more of up-cycling project. While making the heart on a string cards I inked the white cardstock pretty badly and didn't want to throw it. Then this card idea came along and the white cardstock got used :) I had this song by One Direction lingering on my mind for long (check out the below youtube link). I just love the line "Baby you light up my world like nobody else" and so wanted to make a card using this as a sentiment.

But then how to decorate it with light was the next thought. Then it struck me, "why not use rhinestones?" I saw rhinestones being used as Christmas lights somewhere may be on a craft blog or an online store and I'm glad it stayed in my mind :) I first traced the light string on the card and then inked it with Studio G hot pink ink using a small cotton ball to create the light effect, then pasted twine for the cord and lastly stuck the rhinestones. This is how the card came out:
Although it looked beautiful the empty space left so much to be desired. So I added two little hearts on the sentiment. Ohh I forgot, the sentiment is a print-out not a stamp. The hearts are hand cut and then pixie-dusted using pie-lane glitter. I also added a glitter ball in "light" and "world". I loved the way the card turned out, beautiful !! I'm sending it for the following challenges:
Virginia's View Challenge at Lily Pad Cards
ICR Challenge 14.
Unstamped Belles Challenge 7
Make it Monday#73

Hope you'll like it as well !!
Smiles :)

Heart on a string 2!!

I told ya in the last post that I made three cards today. This on has the same sentiment as the previous one: "You've got my heart on a string" The colour combo remains the same here as well, kraft and white with red. The hearts are hand cut and then generously used pie lane pixie dust on it. The card came out just fab :)

This goes to the following challenges:
The Pink Elephant - Hearts
ICR Challenge 14
Papertake Weekly Challenge

Heart on a String!!

Looks like I'm on a roll today. And I guess I'm just trying to make up for the time I've been missing the fun of making cards. I made three more cards today. The theme was Valentine. I made two cards with the same sentiment. Here's the first card.

The hearts used in this card have been cut out from the below ac paper. Then I have stamped them randomly. The strings have been made of twine and the sentiment is a printout on the kraft paper. It took me all of 1 hour to complete this card. I'm entring this one as well for the ICRC14 Challenge. Hope you'll like it too :)

This card goes for the following challenges:
The Pink Elephant - Hearts
ICR Challenge 14
Papertake Weekly Challenge

Sweet Candy Card

I'm back with another card and I love this card :) I have used the kraft paper for the first time in this card. I don't know why but twine's becoming my favorite lately.

This is the reason I made the flowers using the red twine and so are the stems. The leaves although are all stamped. I added a few rhinestones and the organza ribbon to pep up the card. I kept it as an all occasions card coz adding any sentiment would have done away the beauty, at least that's what I feel. The leaves were stamped using stazon forest green ink. Here's a close-up. Hope you'll enjoy it :)

ICR Challenge 14

Back with a card. Well as you know I've been missing for some time now from the blogosphere. What could be a better way to return but with a challenge. So here's the cards that I made for ICR Challenge 14 which happen to be anything goes and CAS card. My cards are as simple as they can be. They are basically notecards with little love notes written inside them. Made them for my hubby as the month of love is just around the corner. They are small so as to fit the lunch box. I put it inside my hubby box and man he was thrilled with joys when he opened it in office :) Wish I could see his face that time. So I leave it here now. I hope you'll like them as well. Please don't forget to leave a comment. I love reading them and they encourage me more. Till the next post keep smiling :)
